SALINE COUNTY (KATV)--A father and son are arrested just one day apart, accused of raping a 19-year-old woman. Jeffery Osborn, 50, has made bond, while his son, Joey Osborn, 27, remains in the Saline County Jail.
Joey Osborn was out on parole for a prior conviction, while he does have a $25,000 bond set for this rape charge, he won't be able to bond out since this arrest is a parole violation.
Joey Osborn was arrested on August 1st; his father Jeffery Osborn was arrested the next day. Both are facing two counts of rape.
Lt. Scott Courtney, Saline County Sheriff's Office, said the victim is a 19-year-old mentally challenged woman.
"They were both charged with rape, it's a Class Y felony, you can't get any worse than a Class Y felony," said Lt. Courtney.
Lt. Courtney added, Jeffery Osborn has no prior arrests or charges in Saline County, however, Joey was out on parole after a previous conviction in 2013.
"A lot of different stuff can go into how much someone is sentenced, you've got the minimum and maximum, and depending on their past history that can have an effect on what penalty they get," said Lt. Courtney.
Both Osborns are scheduled to be in court on September 16th.
