FBI Response

In response to the statement Melvin Bledsoe made about wanting to{}know more about the investigation of his son prior to the shooting, the FBI sent us this statement:{}"As we recognize and celebrate{}National Crime Victims' Rights Week, we continue to remember the victims of the shooting at the military recruiting center here in Little Rock, and recognize that this crime{}had a devastating effect on{}the victims of that shooting and their families.{}{}{}{}There are legitimate{}law enforcement reasons for{}neither confirming nor denying the existence of an investigation, and for not releasing information concerning the usage{}of{}certain investigative techniques.{}{}By adhering to this long-standing policy, we{}protect both the integrity of our{}investigations and the privacy and civil liberties of those involved."{}-Kimberly F.
