Firefighter injured at Rose Bud blaze

ROSE BUD (KATV) - A firefighter was injured Wednesday afternoon at the scene of a fire at Circle K Trucking Company.

Authorities with Rose Bud City Hall told Channel 7 News the fire reached explosive materials, but the explosion was small and no one was hurt by it. The fire was large, though, and investigators ruled the building a total loss.

A female firefighter who was directing traffic at the scene was hit by a car. Her leg was hurt but she is expected to be okay. Rose Bud authorities were not sure which fire department she was with but confirmed she was not one of theirs.

Rose Bud, Searcy, Cove Creek, Pearson and Hopewell fire departments all responded to the fire.

No other injuries have been reported.
