FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) - The Forrest City Police Department says more than a dozen gambling machines were seized after a raid last week at a business.
Police tell the Times-Herald that authorities believe a cashier at Sam's Express was paying cash awards to people who played the machines. Police say the machines had nearly $2,400 inside when authorities seized them.
The 13 machines are valued at $39,000 total.
Forrest City Police Chief E.P. Reynolds says the investigation began after the department received several tips from the public.
