Injury Prevention Center at ACH Provides Free Car Seats for Tornado Victims during State Farm Cares Day at Vilonia High School on Aug. 13
WHAT: Families affected by the tornado that ravaged Vilonia in the spring qualify for free child safety seats through a partnership between the Injury Prevention Center at Arkansas Children's Hospital and State Farm. The insurance company provided the Child Passenger Safety Education Program at ACH with a grant worth $5,000 to cover the cost of the seats. On Saturday, the seats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis during this event. Child Passenger Safety technicians will be on hand to ensure that all the seats are correctly installed.
WHEN: Saturday, Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
WHERE: Vilonia High School, 1164 Main St., Vilonia, Ark.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The event is sponsored by State Farm and is in partnership with the UAMS Child Passenger Safety Education Program, the Injury Prevention Center at ACH, Vilonia School District, Vilonia Fire Department, Valero and the Log Cabin Democrat.
