Friends and family remember anchor Matt Turner during funeral services
Friends and family members gathered today to remember TV anchor Matt Turner.
There was standing room only for the funeral Wednesday at Third Street Baptist in Arkadelphia. Today's THV anchor Matt Turner ran off the road Saturday while driving on I-30 and hit the concrete base of a highway sign.
KATV's Steve Sullivan shared his memories at the services including anecdotes from meeting Matt as a KATV intern to developing a decade long friendship.
"I look at Matt's life and, boy, he lived the dream! He grew up in Arkadelphia. Marrying his high school sweetheart. Got to be, boy, a big star in northwest Arkansas. Had a beautiful baby, a little girl. Comes back to work and his dream was to work in Little Rock. Just a fairy tale cut short."
