Friends & family show support during injured football player's benefit

Cane Creek State Park hosted a Zack Towers benefit run Saturday.

The 17-year-old Star City football player was injured during a game last month. He is still in serious condition at Children's Hospital.

Family members were in attendance to receive the $2000 raised to help cover his medical costs.

Park interpreter Geoff Wright say there were 115 runners and walkers with about 60 people cheering them on. Some participants traveled from as far away as Louisiana.
