LITTLE ROCK - Will gasoline prices continue to drop between now and Halloween, as earlier predicted?
We may not know that right now, but we do know that gas prices in Little Rock have dropped almost 5 1/2 cents in the past week, according to Gasbuddy, which operates LittleRockGasPrices.com.
GasBuddy surveyed 334 gas outlets in Little Rock, and found that the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.13 on Sunday. That compares to $3.43 nationally.
Gas prices have been steadily falling since the beginning of September, falling nearly 25 cents in the past four weeks, but the decrease in prices might have been even greater, if not for so many global problems.
GasBuddy analyst Patrick DeHaan says twelve states are currently seeing prices under $3 a gallon, and believes more states will join that list this week.
That may be true, but most Americans still believe gas prices will remain in the $3 -4 range the coming year, according to a GasBuddy survey of over 10,000 drivers.
