Gas station owner arrested for selling bath salts

An investigation by the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division has resulted in the arrest of a Damascus business owner. Amarjit Singh, 26, owns the Sinclair Gas Station on South Broadway in Greenbrier and the Main Street Mercantile on Broadway in Damascus.

Thursday, the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office with the help of State Police, Highway Police, Greenbrier and Damascus Police searched both businesses after obtaining warrants. Those warrants were granted after a three-month investigation. Singh is accused of selling bath salts and K2.

Police seized $30,000 in cash, 121 packages of K2, 56 packages of "bath salts," 128 assorted pills and one semi automatic handgun.

Chief Deputy Matt Rice with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office says Singh was arrested and charged with one Class B felony possession with purpose to deliver and one Class C felony also for possession with purpose to deliver.

Singh later bonded out on $15,000.
