Same-sex couples ask for changes to lawsuit challenging gay marriage ban
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Lawyers for a group of same-sex couples seeking to overturn Arkansas' ban on gay marriage want to drop Governor Beebe's name and Attorney General Dustin McDaniel's name from the suit.
Attorneys for the couples filed a notice of dismissal August 22nd in Pulaski County Circuit Court.
That notice says the plaintiffs dismiss Beebe and McDaniel from the lawsuit.
One of the attorneys for the couples says they don't need to sue Beebe and McDaniel to get a review of the law before the State Supreme Court.
