Genetically modified milk may fix allergies
A solution may be in the works for people who are allergicto cow's milk.
According to an article on Health.com, scientists have foundthat milk produced from a genetically modified calf does not contain BLG, theprotein that is believed to trigger allergies.
The experiment is detailed in a paper published Monday inthe Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Scientists say it's the first time they havealtered milk's protein composition before it leaves the cow.
