Get ready for some stinkers, SEC fans

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Most of the Southeastern Conference is taking it easy this weekend.
The No. 11 Georgia vs. sixth-ranked South Carolina showdown is the only league game. No. 12 Florida's trip south to Miami figures to be a competitive nonconference matchup.
Everyone else in the league is either taking the day off like No. 1 Alabama, facing someone from a middling conference as double-digit favorites or playing a Football Championship Subdivision team.
Vanderbilt coach James Franklin offers no apologies for games like Saturday's visit from FCS Austin Peay. Franklin says losing nonconference records that keep a team from becoming bowl eligible "should never happen when you play in the SEC."
Five SEC teams are favored by at least 13 points, and five others are facing FCS opponents.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
