Ground broken on new North Little Rock elementary school
The North Little Rock School District broke ground on a new school Thursday.
After two years of planning, construction can now begin on Glenview Elementary.
It's part of Phase 2 of the district's capital improvement plan. It will be a state of the art facility that officials say will enhance everyone's educational experience.
"New facilities not only bring the pride up but help our kids by providing modern learning environments where they have better lighting, better facility, new furniture and the technology and it will just be unmatched by any," said North Little Rock Superintendent Kelly Rodger.
The school is set to open next year.
