FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Arkansas coach Mike Anderson is counting on a rebuilt frontcourt this season to help the school reach the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2008.
The Razorbacks were 19-13 last season in Anderson's second season after leaving Missouri, finishing with an 18-1 record at home while winning just once on the road.
Anderson expects improvement this season thanks in large part to a new-look frontcourt that includes 6-foot-6 power forward Alandise Harris and a pair of 6-foot-9 freshmen in forward Bobby Portis and center Moses Kingsley.
Harris sat out last season after transferring from Houston, where he averaged 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Portis was one of the top recruits in the country.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
