CONWAY (Log Cabin Democrat) - A judge in Faulkner County has set a July court hearing to consider motions in the case filed against county administrator Jeff Johnston.
Judge Mike Maggio on Monday scheduled the motion hearing for July 12. Johnson's attorneys told the judge Monday that their motions will require a full day of court proceedings.
One motion is a change of venue for Johnston, who was charged in August with felony theft of property. Prosecutors allege that Johnston used about $3,800 in county funds to pay for an asphalt project on his private driveway.
Johnston has pleaded not guilty to the charge and is still employed with the county.
