      Herb Crusted Goat Cheese, 3/23/12

      1/2 pound goat cheese

      1 tablespoon dried thyme{}

      1 tablespoon dried {}oregano

      1 tablespoon dried parsley{}

      1 teaspoon paprika{}

      2 teaspoons kosher salt{}

      1 teaspoon cracked pepper

      1 cup buttermilk

      1 cup flour

      2 cup breadcrumbs

      {}

      Combine thyme, oregano, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper with breadcrumbs.{} Using 2 oz goat cheese, roll into a ball with your hands and pat into a round shape.{} Take goat cheese a roll in flour, then buttermilk, then coat with breadcrumbs totally.{}

      Place a skillet over medium heat and add 2 T melted butter.{} Place goat cheese round into skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side.{} Place on paper towel and let rest.

      Serve over field greens and dress with good quality olive oil and balsamic reduction.
