LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton says she hopes a new library in Little Rock named for her will be a reminder of the importance of reading to children and encouraging their education at an early age.

The former secretary of state on Monday attended the dedication of the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children's Library and Learning Center. Clinton, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, said she was moved by the Central Arkansas Library System board's decision to name the new facility for her.

The board voted last month to name the new facility for Clinton, in honor of her work on issues regarding children's health and education as Arkansas' first lady. The library holds more than 21,000 books, DVDs and CDs.
