Hino Motors to add 200 new jobs at Marion plant

MARION (AP) - Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. says it will invest more than $55 million in an expansion at its plant in eastern Arkansas, creating 200 new jobs.

The plant in Marion manufactures parts for Toyota's Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia models. Hino General Manager Ed Rowlett says support from the city of Marion and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission contributed to the expansion.

Hino broke ground on its plant in Marion in 2004. At the time, the company said it struggled to find qualified workers in the area. Gov. Mike Beebe says the latest expansion is a sign of the improving workforce in eastern Arkansas.

Hino also has a manufacturing plant in Williamstown, W.V.
