The University of Arkansas football team (3-9, 0-8 SEC) put up three touchdowns and two field goals at LSU (9-3, 5-3 SEC), but ultimately fell in its season finale, 31-27.
Alex Collins and Zach Hocker each set milestones during the game. Collins surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark, joining Darren McFadden as the only two freshmen in Arkansas history to post over 1,000 rushing yards. Collins also became just the 10th true freshman in SEC history to rush for 1,000 yards. Collins finished the game with 28 yards on 11 carries.
Hocker's 61 career field goals set a new school record for most field goals made in a career. He also set the school record for career field goal percentage, making 77.2 percent (61-of-79) of his career field goals.
Arkansas responded to LSU's first scoring drive with a touchdown drive of its own. Keon Hatcher ignited the offense with a 43-yard reception to place Arkansas on LSU's 35-yard line. Kiero Small's 3-yard touchdown run tied the game at seven.
LSU answered with seven additional points on the board at the hands of Terrance Magee to close out the first quarter.
Hocker gave the Razorbacks the lead entering halftime with a 20-yard field goal as time expired to give Arkansas a 17-14 lead.
Alan Turner ended LSU's first drive of the second half with an interception and returned the interception to the LSU 39-yard line. Hocker turned the interception into points, converting a 28-yard field goal to put Arkansas in front 20-14.
LSU's third quarter touchdown run by Jeremy Hill was a response to 13 unanswered points by the Razorbacks. LSU took the lead 21-20.
Allen found Henry in the end zone for the second time with 50 seconds remaining in the third quarter to reclaim Arkansas' lead, 27-21.
The fourth quarter was a scoring drought until LSU kicked a field goal with 4:56 left on the clock to narrow the score 27-24. LSU closed the game with a 49-yard touchdown reception by Anthony Jennings to give the Tigers a 31-27 lead they would not relinquish.
