Home for the Holidays: Grandmother moves into Habitat for Humanity house

A grandmother raising hertwo grandsons alone celebrated her 38th birthday Friday by movinginto her first home.

Habitat for Humanitypresented Kimley Smith with one of the two new houses volunteers and organizersbuilt on 20th Street in Little Rock.

Kimley is a full timehairstylist with a good credit score who took in her two grandson a year ago. Before the boys came to her, they weremalnourished, dehydrated and living in an unstable home but today are runningaround happily as little boys do.

Kimley has always wanted ahouse of her own, but never knew if this day would come.

"I just don't know how toexpress the way that I feel. It's awesome. Its overwhelming. You know, I just layback and look and think about it," said Kimley.
