Homeless man arrested at Occupy Little Rock for 2010 crime

A Little Rock homeless man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for a crime heallegedly committed almost two years ago.

LRPD is reporting that 37-year-old William Kelley was arrested at the OccupyLittle Rock camp and has been charged with commercial burglary and breaking andentering.

The November 4, 2010 police report says that three white males broke intoCajun's Wharf on October 31, 2010 and filled three backpacks with liquor, leftthe scene then returned an hour later to steal more liquor.

The 2010 crime was recorded on a security camera, and it is assumed that themen took around $1000 worth of alcohol.

Lt. Terry Hastings with LRPD says they found out Kelley was staying atOccupy Little Rock through Facebook.

Occupy Little Rock sent a press release Wednesday afternoon refuting LRPD'sclaim that Kelley was arrested on their site, saying that Kelley was arrestedin the post office parking lot next door. OLR said that they had video footageof Kelley being arrested. However, in the footage Occupy provided to KATV, weonly see the suspect being placed in a patrol car, not the initial arrest.
