Grandfather-grandson argument ends in shooting
GARLAND COUNTY (KATV) —
Police say an argument between a grandfather and grandson ended in a shooting Tuesday night.
The incident happened after 8:00 p.m. inside a home at 124 Mayberry Lane when the shooting occurred.
The Garland County Sheriff's Office says Garrett Cain, 26, and his grandfather William Cain, 68, were arguing in the kitchen when Garrett reportedly threatened his grandfather with a knife and then charged at him.
That's when authorities say William shot Garrett once in the abdomen. Garrett was air-lifted to a local hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the motive is unknown at this time and no charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.
