Former Governor Mike Huckabee made stops in Rogers and Little Rock Monday to officially endorse Republican Tom Cotton for U.S. Senate.
Huckabee is the latest major GOP figure to come to Arkansas to throw support behind Cotton. Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus have been here this month.
Huckabee put the blame of Washington gridlock at the Senate Democrats' feet.
"The real issue, of all the issues, is whether or not this country can be governed and it can be. But it can't if one house of legislature wants to bottle things up and not even debate the ideas and put them on the floor and allow there to be a vote," Huckabee said.
Democrats says the use of national GOP figures indicates that Republicans are more interested in Washington politics than Arkansas politics.
Cotton is running against incumbent Democrat Mark Pryor, Libertarian Nathan LaFrance, and Green Party nominee Mark Swaney.
