LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Arkansas transportation officials say some additional lane closures are ahead for the massive construction project at the interchange of Interstates 430 and 630 in west Little Rock.
The closures are planned Tuesday through Friday on Financial Center Parkway and Shackleford Road. The highway department advises motorists to avoid the area.
At times, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on Financial Center Parkway and on Shackleford, between Hermitage Road and West Markham Street.
The lane closures are necessary so that crews can finish paving new sections of roadway for the future I-630 overpass above Shackleford Road.
Between Nov. 15 and 20, additional work is planned that will require lane and ramp closures. Workers are trying to schedule the closures before Thanksgiving and the holiday shopping season.Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
