People waited as long as an hour and a half to cast a ballot on the final day of early voting. Nearly 500,000 people voted early prior to this November's election. That's more than 50,000 more than voted early before the last presidential election.
Despite the heavy turnout Alex Reed, the spokesman for the Secretary of State says the only election issues involve races in Lonoke and Craighead county that were improperly coded and one race in White county where a candidate's name was incorrectly shortened. But reed says those problems have been ironed out and overall things have gone pretty smoothly.
