We have good news, bad news from our Seven-On-Your-Side department tonight.
The bad news isa scam artist we are very familiar with has resurfaced.
So what is the good news?
We have done many stories on Joe Strong over the years. That may be why he is now up to no good in Texaswhich is good news for low-income Arkansans.
Back in 2004 when we first told you about Joe Strong he was operating a business called JLS Financial Services and claiming he wanted to help people pay their bills.
What Strong actually did was make people angry after taking their money and disappearing.
Almost nine years later it seems Strong is doing the same thing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
"He is preying on desperate people," says Angela from Dallas. Angela didn't want her first name used because she has family in Arkansas and is somewhat embarrassed she fell for this scam. "He's targeting single mothers. He said he rarely helps males unless they are a single father with the kids and they don't have any help."
Angela says Strong helped a few women pay bills so she thought he could help her.
He gave him $500 to put towards her rent and Strong said he would pay the restabout $800.
When that didn't happen, she started trying to learn more about Joe lee strong.
"I couldn't find anything derogatory so at first I started thinking that maybe it's my nerves and my anxiety getting at me and making me misjudge him," says Angela. "And thensomething said Google his name and put fraud at the end."
That is when Angela found our past Seven-On-Your-Side reports.
She says many others have given Joe Strong money on the promise he could use grants and other resources to help low income people pay bills.
