WHITE COUNTY (KATV)--A Judsonia man is behind bars and charged with first degree murder, after White County deputies say he shot and killed another man on his property. Police received a call Friday afternoon saying someone had been shot at a home on the 100 block of Oakdale Church Road. There, officers were able to identify the suspect as Robert l. Vestal, 41, but he had fled the scene before authorities arrived. Vestal met with White County detectives Saturday morning and then lead them to the location north of Bald Knob where they recovered the body of Todd Landreth of Searcy. Landreth's body was sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office for an exact cause of death. Vestal is charged with first degree murder with a bond set at $750,000.
