BRINKLEY (AP) - Highway officials say three major lane closures will greet holiday travelers over the coming days, including in an 18-mile work area on Interstate 40 in eastern Arkansas.
Travelers are encouraged to use U.S. 70 or U.S. 64 to avoid I-40 between Hazen and Brinkley. Traffic is down to one lane for work on the White River bridge in Prairie County.
In Texarkana, Arkansas 245 will be reduced to one lane from I-30 to U.S. 82.
Between Little Rock and Pine Bluff, I-530 is down to one lane in each direction for a stretch in northern Jefferson County.
All lanes near the Interstate 430-630 interchange in west Little Rock are open, but barrels and barricades still line much of the roadways.Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
