Lanes of Highway 70 to be closed for inspection

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says lanes of Highway 70 in Garland County will be closed for a bridge inspection.

The department says crews will be inspecting the bridge over Gulpha Creek and Malvern Avenue just east of Hot Springs.

The eastbound outside lane of the highway - which is also known as the Martin Luther King Bypass - will be closed Monday between 9 a.m. and noon and the westbound outside lane will be closed Monday between noon and 3 p.m.

Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.
