Hot Spring County deputies arrested two suspects accused of running an elaborate marijuana growing operation in Bismarck.
Deputies say they responded to a tip that children were possibly living at a residence where marijuana was being grown, but found no one at home when they arrived.
While at the residence, deputies say they smelled the odor of marijuana outside of the home and proceeded to obtain a warrant to search the property.
After entering the residence, deputies found more than 35 plants, seeds, grow lights and a sophisticated watering system.
Deputies say Chad Crumpton showed up at the home while they were obtaining the warrant, and they took him custody after seeing the operation.
The suspect's wife, Joleen Crumpton, was later arrested in Hot Springs and taken to the Hot Spring County Jail.
The couple are in custody awaiting formal charges.
