Little Rock airport prepping for wintry weather

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Workers at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock are checking the airport's snow blowers and plows in anticipation of a Christmas Day snowstorm.

Airport Executive Director Ron Mathieu says extra workers will be on call Tuesday as a snowstorm takes aim at Arkansas and the Little Rock area.

Mathieu says the airport has the chemicals necessary to clear the runways.

No major delays were reported Monday at the airport. The wintry weather is expected to move into the state Tuesday and could drop up to 10 inches of snow in some mountainous areas.
