Little Rock K-9 makes narcotics bust

(KATV) Friday morning, police attempted to make a traffic stop near Tedburn Street in Southwest Little Rock.

According to the arrest report, Aaron Sadler,30, of Bryant was wanted for aggravated robbery and theft of property.

Sadler was driving and allegedly lead police on a car chase. When Sadler and his passenger, Felipe Garcia, 28, got to a dead end street, police say they got out of the car and ran.

Police released their K9 to apprehend Garcia. Garcia is being charged with Possession of Marijuana, Fleeing, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arrested without incident.

Sadler was also arrested. Aaron Sadler faces charges of impending traffic flow (misdemeanor), running a stop sign (misdemeanor), fleeing (misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia (felony) and possession of marijuana (felony).

Miguel Angel Velasco, 27, showed up to check on his brother at the scene and reportedly became irate. He was taken into custody. Stephen Quimby, 20, was also taken into custody for cussing at officers while they were putting Velasco in a patrol car.

In the vehicle Sadler was driving, officers found 2.5 pounds of marijuana. Captain Terry Hastings says the street value is more than $2,500. It will be taken to the Southwest patrol division on Baseline Road.
