Little Rock prepares for Easter Sunrise Service

Every year, thousands gather on the bank of the Arkansas River for the community Easter Sunrise Service.

Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church has been hosting the non-denominational service for 25 years.

The service starts at 7:00 a.m.

Gov. Beebe is scheduled to take part.

Organizers said even though there's a chance of rain, the service will go one.

"The weather forecast has been somewhat iffy and so we've decided to move the Riverfront celebration into the pavilion," said Britt Skarda,Pulaski Heights Methodist Sr. Pastor. "It's covered, it's in the dry, there's a beautiful view of the river, there are plenty of seats, there's room for everyone. So we invite the entire community to come out and join us tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. as we celebrate this wonderful gift together."

If you can't make it to the service Sunday, you can watch it live on Channel 7.
