Little Rock Teacher Awarded as Unsung Hero

A Little Rock teacher is being honored for her innovative teaching skills in helping students learn about gardening and healthy eating habits.

Pulaski Heights Elementary teacher Barbara Hall was awarded a $2,000 grant by ING "Unsung Heroes" program.

Hall helps students grow vegetables through the "Go! Learn! Grow! program, and in turn the students eat and sell the produce and share what they learn with their schoolmates.

Hall is one of only 100 winners across the country, and now goes on to compete for three top prices with awards of $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000.
