Chiffon, sequins, glitter- you think of all these material when you think of prom dresses, but how aboutduct tape?
Grace McFarland from MountSt. Mary and Colin O'Mara from Catholic High constructed her prom dress and histuxedo completely from duct tape. They spent 95 hours making their outfits andused 20 rolls.
Now the pair is competingin Duck Tape's contest where more than 160 couples from around the countrysubmitted photos of them sporting prom outfits made of duct tape. To get to thetop ten a panel of judges choose them based on workmanship, originality, use ofcolor, accessories and use of duct tape.
Grace and Colin have madeit to the top ten but they still need your vote to win the two $5,000 scholarships.
