Little Rock Zoo's baby penguin needs name

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The new baby penguin at the Little Rock Zoo needs a name.

The zoo is hosting a naming competition for the male South African penguin, which was born Oct. 30. The zoo says it's accepting suggestions on its website through Feb. 1.

The penguin keeper staff will pick their top three choices, which will then be presented to the public for the vote.

The zoo says it prefers ocean-themed names for the baby penguin, but all submissions are welcome.

The penguin chick, born to parents Skipper and Easy, is the first baby penguin since the zoo unveiled its South African penguin exhibit in 2011.
