Log A Load for Kids of AR gives ACH big donation

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Arkansas Children's Hospital got a{}big donation Tuesday.

Log{}A Load for Kids of Arkansas gave $500,000. It's the group's largest gift to the hospital and will be used in the new emergency department.

The group is made up of volunteers from the timber and logging industry. One of them, Frank Wilson, from Wilson Brothers Lumber Company in Rison.

"We're happy to do this because of their caring environment we have here," said Wilson.

The organization raises funds through community events held throughout the state. The group has raised more than $6 million{}since it began, in 1993.
