      Longtime KAIT sports director Dick Clay dies

      JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Longtime KAIT-TV sports director Dick Clay has died.

      Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro says Clay died Wednesday at a Little Rock Hospital. He was 78.

      The Jonesboro television station reports that Clay served as its sports director from 1970 until 1998 and he later hosted an outdoors sports program for the station.

      Clay is survived by his wife, a son, two grandchildren, a sister and a brother.

      A Celebration of Life will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
