Lottery brought in more than $400 million in fiscal 2014

The Arkansas Lottery finished the 2014 fiscal year with a sales total of more than $411 million.

Less than 20% of that, about $81 million, will go to scholarships for students.

Lottery Director Bishop Woosley says the lottery has provided financial aid to 135,000 students since it began operating in 2009.

Woosley expects net proceeds will surpass the half billion mark in total scholarships funds before September 28th, the 5th anniversary of its first ticket sale.
