LR airport expects 25K travelers over long weekend

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Arkansas' largest airport is expecting to see more than 25,000 passengers this holiday weekend.

Officials with the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock say 25,198 travelers are expected to pass through the airport between Thursday and Labor Day.

The airport says Friday is expected to be the busiest day with 6,900 passengers.

Officials say local air travel is down 4% compared to last year. More than 26,000 passengers used the airport around Labor Day in 2012.
