Ten Parkview High School students and two teachers remain stranded in New York City following Monday's arrival of Hurricane Sandy.
The students are part of a debate team in the city for competition in the Empire Mock International Trials.
Current plans are for the students to return back to Arkansas on Friday and Saturday.
School officials say they've been in constant contact with the students and teachers, and say despite the delay, their spirits remain high.
New York City opened up to automobile and subway traffic on Thursday morning, but travel is still difficult, and over 10,000 airline flights have already been delayed or canceled.
