LRAFB Senior Airman facing 500 counts of child pornography
CABOT (KATV)--A Senior Airman stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base is charged with 500 counts of child. Cabot Police Detective, Sgt. Keith Graham, said they got a tip that led them to James Lee Mounie, 27, of Virginia. Detectives found numerous USB drives and a laptop computer containing child pornography downloads. Mounie was arrested at the base two days ago. While in custody, Cabot Police took him to his residence and with a search warrant picked up the evidence against Mounie. He was then taken in and booked. Yesterday was his first appearance in court at the Lonoke County Courthouse. His bond was set for $20,000 and he has bonded out. This is now the second Little Rock Air Force Base employee to be arrested on child porn charges in the last two months. Earlier this month, Air Force Captain Shane Padilla was indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of distribution and one count of possession of child pornography. LRAFB Deputy Chief of Public Affairs, 2nd Lt. Amanda Porter, released this statement: "This case is still under investigation. However, these allegations are not in line with our core values, and the actions of the few are not a reflection of the values of our military. The Air Force holds individuals accountable for their actions, whether through our own legal process or through coordination and full cooperation with local authorities, in this case, through complete support of the Cabot Police Department. Ultimately, the welfare of our Airmen, their families and the community is vitally important to our leadership here at Little Rock AFB." Mounie's next court date is set for July 21st. Mounie was present for duty today at the LRAFB.
