LRPD investigating death of LRSD employee found dead in home

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A Little Rock School District employee was found dead in her home Tuesday morning.

Mattie Norman told authorities she was concerned when her coworker Debbie Bush did not show up for work and would not answer her phone. When Norman arrived at the home of Bush she found her unresponsive in the bedroom with blood on the victim, floor, and bed.

MEMS arrived on the scene, and emergency responders stated Bush did not have any vital signs. The coroner's office was then contacted and took custody of the victim.

The victim's beige four door 2002 Cadillac Deville was found Tuesday night around nine in the 7600 block of Morris Drive in southwest Little Rock.

Any person that may have information about the occupants driving the car are encouraged to call 371-4660.

Bush was a tenured member of the LRSD family who worked in the Child Nutrition Department for nearly 30 years at Wilson Elementary.

The victim's cause of death is still under investigation.
