Little Rock Police aresearching for the person who robbed a west Little Rock bank.
According to officers, aman walked into the Bank of Little Rock on Rodney Parham Road just before 9:30Tuesday morning. Witnesses said he showed a weapon and demanded money. Onlybank employees were inside at the time.
Surveillance cameras capturedthe suspect wearing a Jamaican style hat with fake dreads. Witnesses toldofficers earlier this week a man who resembles the robber visited the bank.
Little Rock Policereleased photos of both the bank robber and the person who resembles therobber.
Sergeant Cassandra Davissaid it's not uncommon to see bank robberies in this area of Little Rockbecause of its close location to the interstate.
"It is a high trafficarea. It's one of the main arteries where someone can jump onto 430 from eitherRodney Parham or Shackleford," said Sgt. Davis.
Officers said the suspectdrove away in a maroon SUV, traveling southbound on Shackleford Road.
