LRSD begins superintendent candidate interviews

The interview process for a new Little Rock School District superintendent begins Monday.

The board will interview the top four candidates from a pool of nine selected by a search firm.
Monday's interviewee is Dr. Connie Hathorn. Hathorn has been the superintendent of Youngstown, Ohio public school for two years and is a 19-year veteran of the Akron City School District.
Tuesday, board members will interview Dr. Stefanie Phillips. Phillips has been the deputy superintendent of Clayton County Public Schools in Georgia since 2009.
Dr. Dexter Suggs will go before the board Wednesday. He's been the Indianapolis Public Schools' chief of staff since July of last year.
Board members will interview Dr. Walter Milton Monday, March 4. Minton has been the Springfield, Illinois schools' superintendent since 2007.
After their interviews, each candidate will tour the schools before holding a meet and greet at the LRSD administration building.
