      Demedrick Rogers

NORTH LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A man is charged with murder after police say he stabbed his brother to death Friday evening.

North Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said shortly before 9 p.m., officers responded to calls of a stabbing on the 2700 block of Arkansas Avenue.

Sgt. Dedrick said 21-year-old Quentin Rogers was found on the front porch of his home with an apparent stab wound to his stomach area. Rogers was taken to a Little Rock hospital where he died of his injuries.

The victim's brother, 26-year-old Demedrick Rogers, reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.

Around 5 a.m. Saturday morning, Sgt. Dedrick said Demedrick Rogers turned himself in at the Pulaski County Detention Center, where detectives interviewed him.

Demedrick Rogers remains at the PUCO Detention Center and faces a charge of second-degree murder.

The incident is under investigation. KATV News and KATV.com will have more information as it becomes available.
