Man charged with hitting officer, robbing two gas stations

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A suspect was arrested Monday afternoon after reportedly hitting a police officer while driving between two gas stations he tried to rob.

Donovan Fulton, 34, allegedly hit Ofc. Linda Allen with his vehicle after shoplifting a bottle of wine from a Valero gas station on Interstate 30. Police say he was then caught by officers demanding beer and cigarettes at knife point at the Exxon station at Scott Hamilton and I-30.

Ofc. Allen is being treated at a local hospital. She has been with the Little Rock Police Department since 1991.

Fulton was arrested on two counts of aggravated robbery, plus one count each of first degree battery, driving while intoxicated and driving on a suspended driver's license.
