Authorities have found the body of a Clarksville man along the banks of the Arkansas River in Johnson County.
Sheriff Jimmy Dorney told KHBS-TV the body of the 55-year-old man was discovered near the Highway 109 bridge on Sunday.
Dorney said state troopers initially received a call of an abandoned truck on the bridge that was blocking traffic.
Dorney says the vehicle wasn't disabled and was removed for safety purposes. Dive teams from Johnson and Pope counties were then called to help look for the driver.
The Arkansas State Crime Lab will perform an autopsy to determine a cause of death.
The man's name wasn't immediately released.
