Mayflower faculty members are removing a controversial poster with the high school's baseball schedule that featured teenage students holding guns.
Local teachers approached Channel 7 about the schedule and when we took their concerns to Superintendent John Gray he initially planned to allow the poster to continue to hang in district buildings. But around 3 o'clock he changed his mind and now says it's become a distraction.
The poster features five seniors holding guns--and one even has what appears to be a cigar dangling from his mouth--although district administrators tell us it's actually a black marker. The schedule was meant as a spoof of the classic TV show, "The A Team."
There is some debate about how many posters were actually hanging up in district buildings. Either way they are all set to come down now
