MANILA (KATV) - A small earthquake shook Mississippi County Sunday morning.
At 6:20 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey recorded the quake at 2.7 magnitude near Manila.
The earthquake is one of hundreds of small tremors that occur along the New Madrid Seismic Zone. A series of earthquakes back in 1811-12 around the area were among the most severe in U.S. history.
This small earthquake is one of dozens large enough to be felt each year.
No damage was reported in the latest quake.
